In every organisation I have worked in, the same thing turned out to be true. The problem was never the technology.

You can fund a roadmap and put a Chief AI Officer in charge of it.

My name is Tünde Lukacs. I learned this from the inside. Nearly 20 years in senior leadership across energy, professional services and transformation, including as a Partner at one of the Big 4 firms.

 

I led large change programmes and watched the same pattern every time.

 

The strategy was sound.

 

The tools were fine.

 

What decided success or failure was whether the people were brought along.

Then I left to build my own. The Change Republic, an AI-native business.

 

I have built AI tools with my own hands and launched with them, so I am not talking about AI from the outside.

 

I speak internationally on AI mindset and the future of work, I spoke at TEDx in Zürich on what AI cannot hear, and I have coached senior leaders through the hardest calls of their careers.

It is not whether your people know how to use the technology.

The leaders who struggle most with AI are not the ones who lack technical knowledge. They are the ones whose teams are moving faster than their leadership can guide.   • No shared view. Ask any two leaders in the team what the organisation's AI direction is, and you get different answers. Each leader is figuring it out separately​

  • Conversations that stay surface-level. AI comes up in leadership meetings, but the team never goes deep enough to make real decisions together. It gets discussed, then moved on from.

  • A confidence divide. Some leaders are actively engaging with AI. Others are holding back or quietly resistant. Nobody is addressing the gap, and it is creating friction underneath the surface.

  • Reactive change management. When AI disrupts a team, a process changes,  a role shifts, a competitor makes an announcement, leaders respond to it as it lands, rather than anticipating and shaping it.

  • Tools without leadership. The organisation has invested in AI tools and offered trainings. It organized champion groups. But nobody has invested in whether the leadership team is equipped to drive the transformation, which those tools are supposed to deliver.

How Does AI Leadership Coaching Work?

Every engagement starts with where your team actually is, not a fixed program. Here is the shape it usually takes.

  • Start with the assessment. We begin with a clear read on where your leadership team stands today. 

  • Coaching built around your team. We draw on Secure Base Leadership and the Leadership Circle Profile, and I bring the AI side from having built with these tools myself. Sessions are usually 60 to 90 minutes.

  • Human coaching, supported by AI between sessions. The thinking happens with me. Between sessions, my own AI coaching tool helps your leaders keep reflecting, so the work does not stop when the session ends.
